What is student life like at PSU Harrisburg?

Student life is excellent at Penn State Harrisburg. The students here at Penn State Harrisburg are very friendly, kind and helpful as you embark on your own personal journey in college. I have met so many great people and friends from all over the world that has been there for me and made me feel like Penn State Harrisburg is my home. Penn State Harrisburg also has so many clubs, greek life, intramural sports, and so many other events. Whether it be attending a movie night, or playing soccer on campus, I was able to meet some great people. Penn State Harrisburg does a great job of proving opportunities to get to know other people and to have fun while doing so.

Why did you choose Penn State Harrisburg?

I chose Penn State Harrisburg because it is the perfect balance of a small and big school. Anyone can feel that small school feeling that allows you to get to know other students and faculty members better, but it still is part of the larger Penn State family. Also, as part of Penn State, Penn State Harrisburg helps students succeed and pursue their career goals. Penn State has the largest alumni program in the world, and Penn State Harrisburg students are fully involved in the alumni program to help one another find the career path that each student is looking for.

The faculty at Penn State Harrisburg are...

very friendly and helpful. All teachers and other staff members of Penn State Harrisburg want all students to succeed. They are very helpful when asked questions, and will either have an answer or get a student in touch with someone who does know the answer to the students' question. Every faculty member has a critical part in providing a great college experience and a place for all students to succeed.

What advice would you give your high school self?

The advice I would give myself is to try new things and learn about yourself more. When I was in college I never thought I would be able to meet some great people, have some great experiences and have so many amazing opportunities while in college. Through all of those people, experiences, and opportunities, I have learned so much about myself including new interests, hobbies, values, and more that has led to growth within myself. Everyone should try new things and meet new people to learn more about themselves as well.
