PSU Harrisburg has many clubs ranging from academic and research oriented, to the planning of campus events and intramural sports. From Greek life in the Quad and karaoke at Stacks, to guest speakers/performers in the Kulkarni Theatre and bus trips to Broadway, Washington D.C., and State College you will never be bored and will meet many new people through fun, innovative, and intriguing experiences!
Be sure to take the coursework that relates to your future field of study serious, especially during your final two years! These classes are preparing you to meet basic prerequisite requirements that you will take during your first two years. Also, don't stress about wanting to go far away from home for college. Being surrounded by familiar people, places, and traditions helped to make my transition smoother; and if you get involved you surely will enjoy your experience!
I choose Penn State Harrisburg for its medium sized atmosphere with a large school name. I wanted a place where I could grow as a leader and still get individualized attention from faculty. It was in a perfect location for me being only two hours from home, and I know both friends and family who graduated and greatly enjoyed their experience! I found that the Harrisburg campus has a healthy blend of academics and extracurricular activities for me to enjoy my time in college and prepare for my future career.
Knowledgeable, caring, professional, and leading experts in their fields of study. Many of the Professors I've had are involved in both local and global research, and are often looking for students who want to become involved. Get to know the faculty, as they are truly great people who want to see you advance in your academic endeavors.
